I am a teacher. Shop in the garage. Truck & van are on the drive.
I liked toodling with my dad on the basement workbench as a kid. I completed some 4H woodworking projects too. Then I left for college, got married, landed the first job, had kids, got a mortgage completed my master's degree and NOW I'm getting back into woodworking.
I like to build outdoor stuff.

1/1/12 – OK. Today I finished the flat panels. I had to make a detour and build a panel cutting jig. Its worked ok for this project but I would like to build a slightly wider panel sled as a keeper. 1/2/12 – Assembled, glued-up a...
For about a year now, I’ve been interested in trying my hand at building a cabinet. This summer (2011) while moving things around in the laundry room we discovered the particleboard floor cabinet in this room was beginning to crumble. My...
Here is my first mortise and tenon. I made this with my “dedicated mortiser” ($10 DP with delta mortiser attachment permanantly installed). The joint is tight! I trued up the tenon with a small plane to get a snug fit that required ...
