Alternative use for a workbench

I was at a steak house a few days ago when I suddenly noticed that the tables were actually made of old workbenches – vises and all! Personally I see this as a waste – I’m using an old kitchen table for a workbench and this steakhouse is using workbenches as tables!

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo, the only camera available was my phone camera…

Ask them if they want to trade. What a waste…unless they do woodworking after hours.

I can’t think of anything I’d rather eat a steak on.

at least you’ll know your food ain’t going anywhere if you bring some benchdogs with you.

thats cool actually! smaller benches oftenly end in fashion shops or boutiques as decorative items to put clothes on, that’s a less noble ending for a bench.

They could have gone all the way with the concept and given me a jigsaw instead of a steak knife.
A jigsaw and an apron, that could get messy!

I hope there was some dust at the top of the steak to flawer it :-)

Who ever the jock who owns this, he should be proud. His table still preserved for public use.

Maybe the vice is handy for cracking nuts, or lobsters…

Instead of grumbling, ask the boss where he gets the benches. He may have an inexpensive supply that he may be willing to share.
