So I finally got my garage subpanel upgrade and was able to get 220 volt power for my newly acquired unisaw and jointer. It only took about 4 hours of gut wrenching drawling through my attic and busting out of old plaster wall! I’m so glad I finally got it done though. The only problem is finding a permanent power solution for my garage shop. I hate to install any new conduit and wiring before I really know how i want everything laid out. As of yesterday, I set up a “spiderbox” with a 50 AMP 220 cord feeding it which powers most of my equipment. I’m hoping that it will get me by until I find a permanent set up to wire in. I’ve also got to work out my dust collection solution… which is currently just… a dust collection problem. (No dust collector!)
So the saga continues!!

Getting sufficient power is always a task. I’ve got one 220 circuit in my shop and sure would like to add one or two more.
