Milling #1: It begins....
I think I mentioned in my last blog that I love hearing/reading/seeing about wood gloats and also logs to lumber blogs. I haven’t done much in the way of blogs but, better late than never. A few weeks ago, me and dad went wood cutting. I usually come along to look out for fallen trees to take home and stick on the lathe. Lucky I went this particular time.there was a tall skinny, and by that I mean about 20m tall by about 250mm diameter, unidentified tree laying over a track. someone had already cut out a section of it so I took it home. yeah yeah, It looks pretty small but its exiting for me I dont have a bandsaw (yet, very soon) so I took it over to a freinds house and...
