I had hoped to leave this announcement until the relevant issue of Wood Magazine came out. However people have started to recognise my Zee box as being in the next (October) issue (I am told its due to be on the newsstands 11th October) along with an article on how to make it.
Strangely they (Wood Magazine) in the person of Lucas Peters approached me about featuring it. I thought it was the other way around, you submit stuff to them!. Oh well. This was way back in February as they have to plan months ahead. Someone at the magazine had spotted Zee here, on Lumberjocks.
That makes this one of those places to be seen. Good for Lumberjocks and us, this is a great place to be.

Mike I am one of the ‘little people’. I don’t think we are that little though judging by the big-hearted responses I get.

Magazine editors sift through all the wood forums looking for the ‘unusual.’ They found it in you, Martyn! Congratulations. You’re headed for star-scape recognition, and deservedly so.

Only question is “Why did it take them so long?”
Congrats Martyn.

Oh, man. The fame, the groupies, the limos, the drugs, alcohol and fortune. Your life is ruined.
Actually, I am delighted to seet you receiving the recognition you very much deserve. I’m hoisting a pint to you at this moment. Well, actually it’s a Goose Island Honker’s Ale, which is about as close to a good English bitter as we have around here!

Nice job, Martyn! Looking forward to that issue!
Have you thought of submitting one of your masterpieces to the 32nd Annual Box & Container Show at Northwest Fine Woodworking (http://www.nwfinewoodworking.com/boxshow.htm)?

The recognition is well deserved and they picked a fine craftsman for that! Enjoy the extra stardom.
