I'm nearly famous

I had hoped to leave this announcement until the relevant issue of Wood Magazine came out. However people have started to recognise my Zee box as being in the next (October) issue (I am told its due to be on the newsstands 11th October) along with an article on how to make it.

Strangely they (Wood Magazine) in the person of Lucas Peters approached me about featuring it. I thought it was the other way around, you submit stuff to them!. Oh well. This was way back in February as they have to plan months ahead. Someone at the magazine had spotted Zee here, on Lumberjocks.

That makes this one of those places to be seen. Good for Lumberjocks and us, this is a great place to be.

Oh, man. The fame, the groupies, the limos, the drugs, alcohol and fortune. Your life is ruined.

Actually, I am delighted to seet you receiving the recognition you very much deserve. I'm hoisting a pint to you at this moment. Well, actually it's a Goose Island Honker's Ale, which is about as close to a good English bitter as we have around here!

Excellent and WELL Deserved. You do awesome work and it is not surprizing that they would approach you. Now you will have to build a box with a glass lid to show off your magazine article. More wall are coming. :)

Congratulations Martyn.

Well done Martyn, your fame is spreading.
Soon you will be the benefactor of your local pub's customers, perhaps name a meal after you - like "Box Pie and Chips". Your local newspaper will arrive at your house soon for your life story, then the Beeb and CNN, wow, local boy makes good and donates masterpiece to British Museum…........ :))
....... Yes, and I knew him when he was a struggling whittler.

All your boxes are work of art. If you wrote a book about it, I would buy it in a flash. I have seen books on box making but its always the same boring finger jointed, mitered boxes with no zest in it. Yours have the extra je ne sais quoi that truly makes them stand out.
