As many of you know, I’m partial to a Hand Brace or 10. For the last 18 months or so, I’ve bid on countless old wooden braces just because I think they look so damn cool. They’ve always gone too high in price for my wallet, but tonight I just won this one for £32.01. It was a bit of risk because the seller only posted this one grainy picture (mobile phone no doubt), so time will tell the condition it is really in.
Yippeeeee!!!

Fingers crossed it is Ok.

thats a beauty.
I agree with you – something about bit braces that makes them so much more interesting than any other woodworking related hand tool for some reason

Crashed and burned.
The brace arrived and it was crap. Three splits, the ebony head was chipped and the whole thing was warped making it totally unusable. I contacted the seller detailing the issues and he’s given me a full refund plus the cost of the return postage.
The hunt goes on…

You win some and you lose some. On ebay you have the oppurtunity to experience the sensation of both in the same transaction. Sorry to here that.
