Here is my review of Ridgid’s 18v Drill/Impact Driver combo kit which you can currently get for $179.00 through Home Depot.

Brian:

Thanks for your review—it came at an opportune time for me—I accidentally knocked my Ryobi 18V cordless drill off a ladder recently, and bent the shaft the chuck is mounted on (the arbor?)—anyway, after the fall, it was all wobbly when I used it, and the NiCad batteries were starting to lose capacity anyway, so based on your review, I checked out the Ridgid combo kit at Home Depot, and bought one tonight. So far, I’m pretty impressed, but I’m not surprised—I own three other Ridgid power tools (a circular saw, a reciprocating saw, and a random-orbit sander), and I’m pleased with all of them.

Thanks again—good review, and very helpful to me, personally.
