I seem to be on an airgun kick lately. I am making a stock for an airgunning friend.

Instead of making the post twice, to read about it and see pitures of the progress, click on the link to my blog.

I hope you enjoy it!

Very cool. Carving airgun stocks got me into woodworking. I did not know how to inlet, so I purchased blanks that were already inletted from a guy back east who offered them for the QB 78 C02 powered airguns. I used power carving tools by Proxxon, specifically the long neck angle grinder. This makes a great shaper and saves lots of time. Files and sandpaper finish the shaping. I ended up selling a few stocks on the airgun classifieds. I then got into woodworking and stopped carving stocks. I also had all of the QB 78 stocks I wanted…LOL.

I guess I should look into inletting, since I now have the routers and drill press necessary to do this.

I am looking forward to the finished project.

Thanks fellas!
I am pleased with how it is turning out. I may be hard to give up since I have a rifle just like it that would fit!

Looks great! This is an example of real wood-WORKING. There is a big difference between cutting wood to size and assembly, compared to working the wood into a specific shape. Neat job.
