Howdy Folks!

Looks like another lathe related video coming your way! I have soooo much fun turning things. I uploaded it in full HD and it took FOREVER! Whew, I am glad that is over. ha ha.

Anyway, I hope that you enjoy the watching the process that I went through doing this little box. I call it a ring box because that is about all that will fit in it, it’s small. I actually thought of it for Valentines Day and I put a ring in one and gave it to my wife. If I were to store a ring in it, I would add some foam with a slot cut in it to hold the ring so it wouldn’t get beat up rolling around in the box.

Thanks for watching!

Great project. What kind of wood and what grade of sand paper did you use ?
I “favorited” it. Thanks for posting. Your technique is flawless imho.

Thank you ed220! The wood is maple and I sanded it to 660 grit. As far as technique, good thing for editing software. It makes me look better than I am, especially when I can “cut” the mistakes! ha ha

Very nice ring box! What chuck are you using on that lathe? I’m about ready to dive deeper into turning and that’s probably my next purchase.
