Hi Jocks, here is a video of a box that I turned on the lathe. It is made from sapele, an African hardwood. It’s not a how to, I don’t claim that in any of the videos that I have made, but it is more like just watching someone else work their project.

I just wanted to share this with all of you that may enjoy watching woodworking videos, like I do.

Thanks for watching!

Ah! Those tricky skew chisles. Very nice project. I take it that the finish was Bee’s wax only, right?

Yes, beeswax only… (I think).

As you say, Brett, it is enjoyable watching someone else work on their project – which came out beautifully.

I’ve made goblets similar to yours, but never tried including a top.

What I HAVE made, is a number of OUCH! moments – I swear that turned objects nearing completion develop a magnetic attraction for skew chisels’ destructive sharp edges – which have necessitated extemporised revised designs ! LOL

Have your say...
