First Box #2: Decisions, Decisions
Now, a few days and lots of pictures of other people’s boxes later, and I’ve settled on making the box predominately from curly maple, with mitered corners featuring double walnut keys. The top will have a frame of matching curly maple around some figured wood or veneer. I expect it to be around 12” x 7.5” x 5”, though the stock I have would allow it to be up to 6” tall less whatever board width I lose to milling. The sides will be 1/2” thick.
