Here are some pics of my current project. It is a 1948 Craftsman 10” table saw. Not a unisaw by no means but will serve me nicely as a hobbyist. It was given to me by my uncle and I have taken it apart cleaned painted it. Also installed new arbor shaft and bearings. I am now getting ready to start on my table saw station design. This is going to include new extension wings with router inset in right wing and a new fence by a design I found on here of a Biesemeyer clone. Table saw

I really love the old saws. I also love the swirl pattern on the aluminium cover. But a word of warning, I believe the swirl pattern is very shallow and can be buffed away without much effort by hand. It will make you cry. Trust me on this one.

I did the swirl pattern on the saw. It isn’t very deep this is true. I coated it with some clear lacquer so hopefully i won’t have to re buff it just let it age for another 50 years. :o)

Amazing work Brandon. Must be very satisfying to have such a success with this. Thanks for sharing.

You did a nice job on the saw, Brandon. I am sure it looks better now than when it was new. It makes my day to see older tools like this given a new lease on life.

Nice job.
