Ok, so I posted some questions on epoxy paint for hand-plane restoration. I’ve sprayed my first plane bed and wow, the paint is really glossy. I only sprayed one coat, so as it is adhering to the cast-finish of the metal, it creates a really “busy” look with the high gloss. I’m going to spray 3 coats in total in the hopes that it fills in all the cast finish and creates that “plastic” look.

But, the important question is – where does one get satin finish epoxy paint?

And can someone post some pictures of something painted with satin epoxy (preferably a hand plane).

Great, now that sounds like what I need. I’ll pick some up tomorrow at Advanced Auto parts. 4 miles away. This is one helpful website filled with really helpful and knowledgeable members – thanks!
