I have had 2 surgeries on my shoulders this year. Left shoulder in May, right shoulder in November. Right was the big deal, torn muscle & other problems. Hope to get some function back soon but weeks of therapy. Grandma told me growing old was a bitch but who knew she was right. Hope to be able to get back to the workshop soon.

Hope you have a quick recovery. My father said” don’t get old it hurts.”

It WILL happen, just be patient and follow the doctor’s orders. Your problem is that your brain is working well but your body just can’t comply – at the moment.
Dream up some projects for later and let LJs keep you informed and entertained in the meantime.
Wishing you better days.

My grandmother use to say the same words. I have seen my grandmothers sufferings, she has been to many surgeries. But later on her Physiotherapist help her a lot in recovery.

I hope you are well soon and are back at it soon. Life outside the shop can be pretty boring.

Lol what the wreck said. I’ve had both hips once each and my knee cut twice and feel your pain. Hang in there brother!

Richard, I hear ya and agree with you. There is nothing graceful about the aging process. I haven’t been active on here lately because, as I am sure you are aware, typing with one hand is a challenge. Like you I had my right rotator cuff repaired (4 weeks ago) and will have to have the other one repaired this year as well. And, of course, I am sure you are in complete shop withdrawal right now. Just hang in there. I am wishing you a speedy recovery.
