I'm new to woodworking and I plan on it being a hobby of mine. I was bored during the Summer so I got the idea of building myself a small box for my dorm room and I can just keep some stuff in there and I realized that this is extremely fun and satisfying. I love it so far and I'm slowly but surely getting started and I can't wait!

I'm a student and the Milwaukee School of Engineering and working towards my degree in mechanical engineering. Woodworking and this website are becoming an obsession of mine and any free time I can get away from school, I put towards my new found hobby.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!!! I’m working for my mechanical engineering degree at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and during the summer I got into woodworking and fell in love with it. I won’t be able to do any projects for a while because of school but I can’t wait to be a part of this community. Thanks again.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Haha thanks Wisty. As soon as I make some woodworking friends I’ll send em right on over here so they can be sucked in by the amazing things this site can offer a person with the ambition to take their skills to new levels and have fun doing it.
