Frustrated furniture builder wannabee. Can't stay home long enough to get much done (I'm a road warrior) except go into my shop to smoke a good cigar (against my better half's obvious disdain!) But she loves the projects I build. In the last few years I've built 3 end tables, a humidor, 3 plant stands, 2 of Glen Huey's huntboards, blanket chest, potting table, entertainment center, hall tree and quite a number of adirondak chairs. Next, I want to turn the craftsmanship up a notch with some fine furniture. Recently, after making lots of samples, I did my first hand-dovetailed humidor from walnut.

Thanks guys. I feel welcome. I’m looking forward to being a participant in this community.

Lou, It’s great to see a young man who loves the smell of freshly cut wood as well as the sound of a tuba. I’m on old tuba player myself. I played tuba in HS and College (UGA – Go
Dawgs!), but didn’t start woodworking till late in life. Keep up the good work…and stay safe! (Tuba’s can be dangerous if you don’t use your safety equipment :-)
