Hey fellow woodworkers,

its been a while since I was on the site last and so I’m back and trying to catch up with all the projects and entries I’ve missed! its been hectic in my shop and it is a disaster with no light at the end of the tunnel(cleaning tunnel)! tools are strewn everywhere and somewhere in the middle of it all is a set of side tables half built! I’m in the middle of trying to restore an old Stanley block plane. first is soaked the rusty plane in rust remover which did not obtain the desired results. there stills seems to be a small build up of rust! any suggestions? I think I may try a soda blaster next! I picked up a new pm-v11 iron from lee valley and they say it comes razor sharp. not my experience! has anyone else out there had this problem? I took it to the stones and put a razor sharp edge on it!
I hope to have some projects posted soon but not sure exactly when! ill try posting more regularly. that’s all for now, cheers!

A messy shop is very anti-productive for me personally and I will always take time to clean the shop and organize the tools because it makes my shop time much more enjoyable.
