I'm real new to woodworking. Trying to make it my new life as I am retired. Right now I am in the building and buying stage.
The building stage means tha I need to clean out the basement, reconfig the wiring, hang lights, build benches and shelving. For the planning of all this I'm working in Sketchup.
As for the buying part, which has been fun, I have picked up an old craftsman saw. The blade runs true and is square to the miter track. The orignal fence was broken so I installed an Incra LS fence. Wow, what a tool. I plan to build a box around the Incra rails for storage and dust management. For dust management I picked up a Delta 50-850 DC. I also picked up a used Dewalt planer. Runs great! It is an older model, one that allows you to resharpen the blades. The drill press that I picked up has to be over thirty years old, but has virtually no runout in the chuck. My router is new. It is a Freud that allows for above table adjustments. The table sits on a bathroom vanity that I bought at a scratch and dent sale. My next big buy will be a jointer, then a band saw for re-sawing.
I have not made a thing yet! Well, nothing worth posting, just a few jigs. The one that I'm real proud of is a clamp on crosscuttig jig for 2x6s. I had a pile of 2x6s I had to cut for the floor in my grandson's tree house.
Pictures will be postd as I move along on my woodshop and projects
