I am retired from the FDNY and missing it. My family has been in the trades for as long as I can remember. My father was a carpenter, his brother was a Master Craftsman, he also when in the Navy in WWII built PT boats. The most famous was PT109. He went on to build custom houses. I have cousins and uncles that are electricians, plumbers etc... From working with them I learned various trades.
I now repair antique furniture for some dealers on LI. It breaks my heart but most of these pieces get painted so they sell faster. As a woodworker that drives me nuts.
I started in Jr. high school taking various shop classes and continue to educate myself whenever I can. That includes learning from other woodworkers like yourselves. I am still trying to turn my garage into the shop I want but not there yet, but getting closer.

I picked up at a yard sale a Craftsman 24” scroll saw, model #103-0404. It is the same as a 103-0403. Does anyone have a manual for this? I tried OWWM but it’s not there. The machine works great but it would be nice to have the manual....
