Gluing rigid foam insulation to self

I want to glue up Pink rigid foam insulation. The thickest I can find is 2” and I want to make a core for large Shaker Oval boxes and I need to glue up a 6” thick core. I could glue up wood but that would be too heavy to use. what type of adhesive will glue up rigid foam? someone told me to put 1/8” plywood between layers of the rigid foam but again what to use as an adhesive. Thank you for your help
