Welcome to LJs,

My wife and I will be retiring to Palm Bay in several years. We bought a fairly nice house and renting it out for the next few years.

One of the my concerns is a local supply of lumber. Are there any cost effective places to get oak, cherry, maple, poplar, and walnut – that sell by the bf and not linear foot?

Thanks,

-- David in Damascus, MD

Hi David, I know of a couple up towards me. The Woodshop on Clearlake Rd. in Cocoa. He’s very reasonable and sells by the BF. He can also order anything you need. The other is a sawmill. I haven’t really bought much from him but have had a couple of logs milled. Double Eagle Sawmill
