Thanks for the welcome, folks.

Right now I am waiting for glue to dry so I thought it would be a good time to update my profile.

To make a short story - I was introduced to woodworking by my maternal grandfather many years ago. Spent 20 years in the Air Force with much moving around with no funds for tools and no shop to put them in if I had them. Worked another 20+ years, mostly at Radio Shack. Currently, my shop is in an 8'X18' furniture van body. A solid floor and the roof doesn't leak. In addition to the normal van door, I put a used house trailer door/stormdoor combination in the side. Very tight quarters with a 3'X10" workbench on one side and shelves on the other side. Most of my tools, 24" scroll saw, grinder, drill press, planer, Router Crafter, sit on the back of the bench and are brought forward and bolted down for use. My router is mounted on the table saw onto which I recently put a 2' run out extension which makes it really crowded in the shop. I hope to put up a real shop in the next six months or so.

Primarily I build furniture such as coffee tables, end tables, picture frames, jewel boxes, and other projects that catch my eye. I primarily have used patterns from several woodworking magazines, modifying if needed. My experience is almost as limited as my workspace so any knowledge gained here will be welcome.

Looking forward to the projects, information, and stories to come. Back to watching the glue dry.
