I am 26 years old and live in Winnipeg Manitoba. I work as a graphic designer during the day and try to fit in as much shop time as I possibly can in the evenings and weekends.

I am very lucky to have come from a long line of woodworkers, and have quite a lot to live up to. My grandfather was trained in Germany as a master cabinet maker specializing in staircases. In the early 60's, he moved to Canada and became a Pattern Maker. Later on my dad was also trained as a pattern maker.

As for me, I worked at, what would become, my Dad's pattern shop for a couple of years until the work became too inconsistent. I then moved onto construction and carpentry until... eventually.. I stumbled upon Graphic Design.

I have been working as a designer for about three years and have recently moved into my very first home with my wife. A new home gave me the opportunity to have my own woodworking shop, something that I've always wanted but never thought I have. As of right now it's quite modest but is growing everyday.
