What Woods Pair Well With Mahogany

I just purchased two antique five panel (vertical) mahogany doors with the hopes of incorporating them into a bed (one door for the headboard and one for the footboard). This is a budget project so I don’t want to use mahogany for the legs, finishing pieces, etc. Any idea on what domestic hardwoods might pair well with mahogany?

+1 on maple, I have a bed in the works with mahagony legs, and frames w/maple panels.

Maple, definitely.

I ran into the same problem recently (matching a wood with mahogany) and ended up with a piece of bocote.. Not exactly low budget, but it looks great

I came in here to suggest maple as well ,but it looks like I got beat to it. Here are some cabinet doors I made with some Eastern Hard Maple I got as scrap from a local stamp handle manufacturer at $2/bd.ft.
