Do you mean to tell me that yesterday was day 1? It seems like a week ago. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a trade show – I forgot how exhausting it can be. Nonetheless, today was chalk filled with excitement.
Oh, before I forget, I found a nice saw if anyone is interested in buying it for me.
Today was a mixture of tools and machines I will probably never own, and information I can’t do without. . They had complete systems that were CNC, and did everything but put the product together.
I did, however, have the chance to shoot the NEW Senco 18 ga battery operated brad-nailer. Show special – $325. Guess who will be the proud owner of one tomorrow. I also got a quote on a 5-HP SawStop. That’s my next major investment. BTW – their industrial saw is worth every penny. It is very well made – rock solid. Finally. For those of you who own a Fein MultiMaster and are afraid to use the blade (for fear you might have to replace it), I found an answer. Imperial Blades (Wisconsin) makes blades for all multi-tools. They seem tough. And at $100 for 10, it’s worth a gamble (afterall, I’m in Vegas).
Perhaps the funniest part- the National Belt Sander Races were held today. With a packed crowd, everyone got a charge out of it.
So, until tomorrow, remember – keep those $50 bills coming. The Billy Needs More Tools Fund is always in need of more money. You don’t want me to go without a new tool, do you?
-- I've never seen a tree that I wouldn't like to repurpose into a project. I love the smell of wood in the morning - it smells like victory.
