Oh my – this is not the Detroit Woodworking show! Got in yesterday, met up with TulsaWoodSmith, and settled in to 100+ heat. However, the show was cool. Awesome tools. As a mat!ter of fact, I’m taking up a collection should anyone want to contribute. Cash please.

There are many good conferences (I signed up for one), and the size of the center is huge. Several areas to visit.

Again – please contribute to the Billy Needs More Tools Fund. Here is one of the first tools I’ll buy once I get enough (about $6,000 will work).

That’s all for today. A cold libation is calling – I can hear the sound in the distance.

Bill,

100+ degrees except the air-conditioned monorail takes you from the hotel lobby to the convention arena. What did you have, 200 feet in the open air?

Darn do I envy you.

Steve.

I fly in tomorrow and look forward to all the toys, not the heat. I’m staying at the Hilton so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Detroit has a wood working show?

I’ll be there tomorrow. Did the show back in ‘09 but 5 days was WAY too much. I got to see the belt sander races.

Andrew – Detroit has a show that is part of the Woodworker tour. Used to be big (by our standards) and good, but as the economy has gone, so has the quality.

We are in the Hilton, too. Don’t,mind the heat, just glad the humidity is lacking.

We’re here for the whole show, and based on what we have yet to see, along with the classes we have to take, I’m glad. But, not sure I’ll be back anytime soon (costs a few dollars).

Keep those $20s flowing in – I have more tools to buy!
