The weather has finally turned towards the warm side of the year here in Michigan. For those of us in northern climes, we can finally start using our equipment without wearing winter jackets. I, for one, am very excited. I would be remiss if I didn’t share the greatest part of this excitement – I was fortunate enough to purchase one of the last (if not the very last) Clear Vue dust collectors.

I posted a question on the forum concerning dust collectors, and Clay and Steve were great about pointing me in the right direction. I checked out Clear Vue, and low and behold – they were running a sale! Great. I started checking finances, thinking about exactly what I wanted, and 5 days later went to place my order. It was a shock when I called Ed Morgano to order and he said he was closing the business! All of the cyclones were spoken for, but he was holding on to one left and right hand collector (in the event there was a problem with shipping).

One week later – my LH cyclone was shipped.

All I have to do is find time to put it together.

Which leads me to the wood chip part. I am busy building doors and drawers for a bathroom and kitchen job. It would have been nice to have the cyclone hooked up, but for now I will use my Jet DC.

When I finish this job, I will post some pictures. Also, when I begin installation of my Clear Vue, I’ll show you what I am doing. I think it will be fun.

Skarp – I hear you. I’ve lived in MI for all of my 56 years, and I never thought I would grow tired of the seasons.

Well, guess what? I can’t stand the cold, wet, icy, crappy winters any more.

I’m also working on installing my Hot Dawg heater for this upcoming winter. Unless you heat your shop, you are limited to the amount of time you can spend working in wood!

Good choice, unfortunately I dragged my feet on buying a Clearvue, so unless I can find one used I’ll probably buy the Grizz 2hp. Enjoy and am looking forward to the pics.

If I would have waited another day, I would have been in the same boat.
