I would REALLY like to know why someone has blocked an individual.I have tried to be very careful about critical issues, and yet I find that I have been blocked by some with whom I would like to correspond…..An issue could be addressed with a quick reply rather than an arbitrary blocking.Any thoughts?Bill

I have some “SawHorse” brand saw horses (duh!!). They have seen a bunch of use over the years, and have collected a really nice patina of various paints and colors.Just after cleaning the oven grills with oven cleaner, I had a brain f@rt. Hmmmm? Just a thought about your profile.... - 33 replies
Sure would be nice if everyone would put a location in the profile section. Does not have to be anything more exact than a state or even a region. It would make responses more fitting. I see lots of questions about “where can I buy, how do I dry, tech support on equipment, etc.” Just my thoughts…..Bill

Just a plane rehab tip for ya...... - 7 replies
I rehab a bunch of planes. All the usual de-rust, tune, sharpen, etc.One tip I’ll pass is that about totes and knobs on the old Stanleys with the great rosewood.Unless they are just plain (don’t go there) crap, I will get out the buffing wheel, load it with green buffing compound, and give ‘em a good buff. Then, a coat of pas...

Clear up something for me if you will..... - 6 replies
I have my TS fence set with a slight outfeed offset for clearance. Fence is normally set to the right of the blade. I would change it for the rare work right of the blade to prevent pinch. Is this the correct procedure, or do ya set it exact with the infeed side of the blade? I seem to find different opinions. Imagine that! What do you guys do...

Cleaning up the shop this afternoon, hung a foot on the mobile base for the Magna (Shopsmith) band saw, pulled it over, and TRASHED the plastic front cover. Anybody got a Shopsmith 11” bandsaw front cover? The saw survived, but this sure crapped out my afternoon.

Anyone who might have cultured marble vanity tops…This is for you.I have sold miles of CM countertops over the years. The cure for the homeowner̷...

Dust collector stupid question......... - 9 replies
Lots of post about all the time consuming/high tech/low tech/venting issues about the HF DC. I just added good bags from Highland. What am I missin’?
