does anybody know what type of tree this is ? i have been told it’s a pepper tree here in san diego any help would be greatly appreciated

Need a better pic of one leaf and a close up of the bark.

My guess is a deciduous tree. LOL.

I could not even quess based upon the pics. However, the Pepper Tree is a cousin to the California Bay Laurel. In Orgegon, the Calof Bay laurel is called the ‘Myrtlewood”
