Let us hope that this year brings better things to all than the last one did.
Pray to the Almighty Carpenter that we get no more earthquakes like the one a year ago in Haiti.
Ask Him that we get no more floods and that the one in Australia is dried up soon.
Ask Him for understanding between men, that war becomes a part of history and not current events.
Pray that you have the strength to turn the other cheek when a comment here hits you the wrong way.
Pray for the patience to count to ten before hitting “save” and to read what you are posting before finally sending it into the web.
Pray that mankind starts treating our precious trees better and that we have the good sense to replant what we cut down and then some, or our decendants will have no idea what handling real wood is like. It will be a material known only in museums, and that’s sad.
Pray for the insight to become a better craftsperson in our chosen love of wood working.
Pray for the patience and charity to offer what assistance you can when a brother LJ asks for it. Remember, no man stands taller than when he stoops to help another.
Pray for the humility to ask for help when you need it, and then take the advice and use it wisely.
Pray for the wisdom to take on projects that will stretch your skills, but not ones that will stretch them to the breaking point.
Pray for Martin, the founder of our little home away from home here, that he keeps giving his time and effort to us and for us, and remember to thank him for having done so for so long.
Pray for the good health to work in your shop as often as you wish. There are those of us who wish we could do that but can’t.
And lastly, pray that we are all here next year to do this all over again.
May the peace and love of the Almighty Woodworker be with you all.
