Well, less that 1,000 pages left to go! I’m up to page 1,325 in my self chosen task of going through the entire projects section here, and I hope there’s a lot of room in the “favourites” file, because I’ve tagged more than 50 items that I want to either build or use as inspiration or just plain got blown away by…
I think John Nixon’s ”super sled” is going to be the first thing I build from that list, as I don’t currently have a tablesaw sled and can see the many benefits of one. I have a few modifications in mind to keep the cost down to fit my severely limited budget: MDF instead of plywood and some scrap plexiglass from a local sign shop as a replacement for the T tracks. Just use the plex as the surface of the fence with a 5/16 slot routed in it over the 3/4 T bolt slot in the MDF. This will give me the added benefit of strengthening the rear fence and protecting it from dings. If it does get damaged, a replacement is only a couple of blocks away in the sign shop’s trash bin.
This will be the first use I’ve gotten out of the jig pieces kit I bought on sale at Lee Valley last week. I knew there was a reason I bought that kit!

I built a TS sled I love it. It’s great for all kinda different cuts.

You’ll love a super sled, I sure love mine. I found T-track was cheapest from Hartville Tool.

Hey Tiny.. Are you sure those OLD EYES of yours can handle all that project research? Don’t make your list too big. You may never get out of the shop.

Well, I’m up to page 1500 in the projects section now. Another week and a half to two weeks should cover it, then it’s off the the blogs! ;)
