I need a memory boost. I watched a video of a gentleman from Ireland, who turns Redwood Logs on a wood lathe, that uses a chain saw mounted in a bracket, with saw running full R.P.M’s and he turns the logs by hand. His lathe is massive and is mounted in a concrete block. He turns the logs into chairs, and also turns wooden sculpture’s of abstract design. I believe the demo of turning logs was still photo. He then demo’s how to turn a lidded box on a shop lathe, to a class of students. Does anyone know the gentleman’s name, or where I can once again watch the video. Thanks for helping…..bigd 1

Don you saved the day for this Don in Nevada. Thank you so much. I searched for two days. It’s true….Lumber Jocks stick together like glue.

Glad to help, Don! FYI, I just searched for “lathe redwood Ireland” and this popped up—must just be dumb luck.
