Natural bark on a Redwood Vessel

I watched a video where the master turner used a spray finish like a varnish, I believe, to hold and secure the bark on a bowl. Who can help me with a product that is designed to do that. Thanks….BigD1

Sounds like a useful product. I want to know what it is also. (No for Redwood but I have some other tree parts that I would like to keep a natural bark accent.) I will be following this and hope it gets some responses.
