I’m not a very Worldly guy, I guess. I used to try to pretend that I was Worldly, to impress and all.
Truth is, I get honestly excited when a little package arrives at my door.
Out one door far, far, away and into my little shop door here in the woods of West Virginia.
I recently received such a package from Mads.

.
.
.
Within this package was a gift, a knife handle that I will hold and treasure.
.
.
.

I have a small but precious collection now, as Grizzman has given me this lighter. A small slipper plane given to me by Paul Hamler attends. Seeing them together is powerful for me.

I hope you’re all smiling as you look at these words.
Thank you.

Small things hold much power… and the power of friendship is the greatest of all.. a small tear of happiness for you is in my eye… not dust…although I have been in the workshop for several hours already today…

These stories keep making me smile. I remember getting a package from Julio that had his marking gauge. The offer of friendship with him was so simple and the treasure he lent to my shop has stood as such a great reminder of it. I still have the shavings he wrapped the tool in along with the note he sent.

It not the things that matter…it’s who they remind us of.

Yes there are a lot of quality people here on this site, another LJ set me a tool to help with my Joiner and Planer setup. These are learned behaviors, it just means the givers were blessed enough to have been influence by the goodness of others as well. I would say who it was, but he doesn’t seem like to the type who would do such a kind deed for recognition.

Bravo LJ’s Bravo!

That’s very cool, good show guys.
BTW Al, you may want to look out for a small plain wrapped package in the next day or two.
Open it carefully, and ignore any ticking sounds, this one will blow your mind.

Hi Al,
Yes we have stand a few battles here on LJ together, always taking care of eachother, and always reminding eachother to berathe before we speak (some might tink it is not possible with us…lol).

Still smile thinking of a book arriving here at my door delivered to The Vintage architect, yes from who could that be!

Gave your knife a fish tail, this because we share the same passion for that shape, and so they seem to show up once in a while in our projects.

Could not be anymore proud than to be on that spot with those two wonderful men.

Hope that we will share many more times here,
best thoughts my friend,
Mads

Ohh yes and send my love to the beautyful one of the house (not the dog) and tell her thanks for making all this possible – I’m thinking of time for LJ and the tool budget – lol.
