I’m fed up with my own negativity, so I’ll share some nice moments from today, all wood related.

Here’s a wooden birdhouse being shared by a chipmunk and birds simultaneously (All friends, like LJs).

Here’s a raised planter box (made of wood) overloaded with closely-spaced seeds

Here’s a painted non-functioning well made of wood

Here’s my current project, rehandling a SW #8

Here’s questionably my favorite handplane

Here’s a garden marker I’m working on from walnut firewood

Here’s my 1948 Rockwell Bandsaw that still makes me happy to look at

Here’s a stump, why we’re all here, really

All the pictures you post there are reasons to be happy so I’m sure tomorrow will be full of smiles.
Yes sometimes we need time to reflect, and then we are back on track.
Peace.

Best thoughts,

Roger, how do you share that bed with bullwinkle (I’m guessing). That’s some fluff!
Mads, we all have our days. Gratitude is easy to come by around here.
Dan, such a sweet face and BIG paws; how big now?

1 year, 11 days old and at least 120 lbs. I used to be able to measure on our bathroom scale by holding him and subtracting mine.. but since, combined, we’re over the 350lb limit, its a guess. His dad is 170 or so, but much fatter. I’ve kept Bump here very trim with lots of exercise and controlled amounts of food (also, no table scraps at all). Don’t want to risk the hip dysplasia, obesity, and cancer. Wouldn’t mind studding him out either.

How old is yours now?

what can I say other than envying you a little :-)
some raining clouds passing us every hour all day
so no work in the kichen garden :-(
but lots of dust from sanding lack down to the wood :-(
using a very nasty bugkiller chemical in the wormholes :-(
but knowing I will get some nice framesaws out of it …. :—))
even a day with the worst task in the shop is a good day .. :—))

take care

I needed this. Lots to look forward to. I found out today I have at least another month in a wheel chair. Was bummed that ther was no escape today. I have my project list in my head….

Here is my workshop dog and constant companion.

Correction: a day in the shop is a day in the shop… so long as it doesn’t result in multiple days in the ER
