Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.
To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.
Please enjoy your membership.

Thanks to all of you. This is a good start which is really late…
Fyi, Im an avid follower of LJ since 2 years but only now that I decided to be a member.
\\ Thanks to Benjie Reyes who is just a mountain away (5 km road). He has encourage me to be a member. Last Saturday 22 May, we meet each other and I was really inspired with his work.
\\ Thanks also to PHILLY Edwards ( also a LJ ) who had inspired me as well. Philly, you played a big part in my woodworking hobby. Out of the O1 metal you gaved, I had already made a plane which is already 2 years since we meet and is still my favorite smooth plane. I will make a blog on this …
Just wait and see …... I am still sorting out how to … upload, edit and make blogs.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

Hi Bert, I have been following your projects for some time now, not always commenting, but enjoying your excellent work nevertheless. I can understand your concern for the environment, but you shouldn’t feel bad about using some nice woods. I doubt that hobbyists like yourself use a significant enough amount of wood to make much difference. Big companies on the other hand are probably the worst culprits. So keep up the good work. We are all learning as we go, and that’s what makes it so much fun.
I see you live in the Philippines. I spent some time there over a 4 year period while serving in the US Navy. We always docked in Subic Bay. I was stationed on a freight/refrigerator ship, the USS Zelima. I liked it a lot there, but the climate was very humid and very hot. I loved those years at sea and I cherish the memories.
