« Part 2: Coop Floor, Sides & Door Part 3 of Chicken Coop series no next part

So this weekend the weather cooperated and I got the coop completed. I installed the door to the run and painted everything that was going to be exposed, and installed all the hardware cloth. Lastly I made the handles for lifting the coop and put on the wheels. Because I wanted to move the coop right away, I didn’t paint the lifting handles nor the latch on the run door. They’ll get painted this week. So here’s the completed coop.

Here is a shot of the dinner dish holder, waiting for the filled dishes to arrive…

Dinner is served…

And here is the coop internal view, showing the roost and minus the nesting box, which will go up against the door…

And the wheels, which I really thought would be too small to do the job, but performed admirably!

So now that’s complete, I’ll post this to the completed projects, and time to move on to the next project!

Thanks for following along.

I got rid of my chickens this last year. After keeping chickens for 12 years I miss them, very nice job on the coop. That will make for some happy hens.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your comment. The hens are indeed happy… 3 eggs in two days!
