Antique Door/Mirror Stand - 4 replies
Hey guys! My wife found these two great antique walnut doors. The doors are 6’8” high and weigh about pounds each. She wants to mount a mirror in the center of each door and create a floor stand mirror. However, I have no clue what to use on the back of the door to allow the door to be stable while leaning on whatever “stand...

Danish table with tambour door - 6 replies
I found this great danish end table with a rolling tambour door. My wife wants to paint the piece, but paint the doors and inside a different color. Anyone have any idea how difficult this will be? I know the higher the K the less “natural” it looks. A standard incandescent house light is around 2700K while bright industrial “cool white” bulbs...

Los Angeles Woodworkers - 12 replies
I was just wondering if there were any Los Angeles area woodworkers that frequent the forums. Preferably in the San Fernando Valley area. I would be interested in chatting about local shops, stores, where to buy items as well as wood and the like. Maybe even helping folks out with their projects and bouncing ideas around from time to time. Thanks.

Routing Tenons - 12 replies
I am looking for some advice. I am making a buffet server with mortise and tenon joints joining each of the frame beams and center beams which will support the shelves, and I have reached a dilemma. I was able to pretty easily mortise the frame pieces using a mortising bit in the plunge router with an edge guide and a stop at each end of the mor...
