Instead of flying my stepson to his father’s house in Florida, we decided to make it a family vacation and take the whole crew on a road trip(what were we thinking?!). On our way from Florida to my sister’s place in NC, the transmission in the van started giving out. We made it to my sister’s, but getting it to the garage was touchy and we just barely got it in the lot. I’ve been going nutty with nothing to do but drink beer (oh so sad, I know) . Now a week in, I decided to go buy some basic tools and scrounge some scrap wood from a neighbor or two and see what I can come up with. So here I go…. with a combo cut hand saw, a chisel, a hammer and a 4-in-1 file /rasp. Sis says she needs a table for her porch, so that will be my first attempt.

Do it, man! With enough beer, it’ll be a success!

Well beer definitely is not lacking. Lots of good beer everywhere around here. And enough boredom to make it happen.
