Although, I grew up watching my dad work as a contractor and woodworker, I didn't get involved woodworking until I bought my own house. I started buying my own power tools to work on home improvement projects. One day I noticed that I had a shop full of tools that I rarely used, so I started learning how to really get the most out of them. Now my kids are enough so my wife and I actually have free time again.
I started blogging online in 2007, when Toolmonger sent out a call for writers and I answered. A few years ago decided to go my own way and start a woodworking blog. Although I have known about Lumberjocks for some years now, I finally decided that I'd better get with the program and join.
