First of all, Welcome to the shop.
Second of all, If you work with wood or have worked with wood you are NOT a “wanta be”, so you need to change that. NOBODY takes a “wanta be” serious.
I just checked your profile out because i was reading your Podcast blog, and i wanted to see where “yall” came from. You use the word too much to be a Yank LOL.
Third of all, you got close ups of that box on your profile? Looks interesting.

I will change that and keep the wanta be attitude to myself… haha
The close up is actually a top view of a stool made out of a walnut slab. This is the type of work that is done at the shop I am currently working with.
Lastly, yall is definitely not a “yankee” word and I did live in NYC for a few years, but living in SW VA will help you add that word to your dictionary quite quick.
Looking at your profile image… are you the origianal gansta wood jock? LOL
Thanks for the advice. Take it easy…

I am anxious to see your work. Have you visited Nakashima’s home, or Wharton Esherick’s while there? You are in a good area of the country to get into furniture making.

You must post something. You tease us with the nice looking piece in the buddy icon and then leave us hanging!
Your killing me.
