This is a whole new argument about how to store planes. Some say on the edge, and some argue for the face. Your’s is a third way! ;0)

I store my planes on the face. They lay on soft wood so I don’t worry.
I think this looks fine.

If it works for you that’s all that matters. Looking good, and that’s a nice plane collection.

Quick and simple! Nice job. My only thought is if with them touching an exterior (?) wall, will they be cooler than the surrounding air in the fall or spring and have a greater chance of collecting condensation? I just know that rust is a not so fun enemy.

Well you definetly would want to store them on something made out of wood and not metal or glass.
Some say upright. My only question, is that an outside wall??

Good Gracious Man,
Where did you find all those nice planes. All I find are in very poor condition. Nice collection.

Nice collection! I have one low block plane that I found at a garage sale for $3. The blade could use a sharpening, but other than that, she’s a beauty!

Sweet plane collection… Good storage idea. I have mine spanning long pegs on my pegboard.
