Amateur woodworker. I tend to use smaller tools, many Festool and unusual tools such as a milling machine.
I use hand tools whenever possible, including planes, scrapers, chisels, etc. I don't tend to use them when power tools work that much better, e.g., making dovetails.
My projects tend to be small, though I just built my first table and it is eight feet long.
I have been doing this steadily for about three years now, with about a decade of metal working, plastics, molding, etc. before that. I am at a stage where I am beginning to combine these skill sets.
