Barrister Abomination #2: Top cap

Well, it’s been a couple months since I last worked on this project. I finally lucked into an old oak board that had been sitting on the rafters in a garage for a few decades. I did a quick estimate and saw it had enough wood to do the next step on my barrister abomination. It’s all pretty basic woodworking patterned on an antique. The only tricky bits are getting the fitting right in order to line up with the shelf sections.
