Hello Lumberjocks,

I wanted to take this opportunity to say hello and introduce myself.

I am a relatively new woodworking enthusiast. I am in process of setting up my shop for the second time.

I am a member of a few other on-line communities, but am very excited to be here. I really like the functionality of the site and the level of activity going on here.

Other hobbies and interests I have include:

Fishing, boating – generally doing the cabin thing (if you live in MN, you know what I mean)

and fairly recently, RC Airplanes and Helicopters. I have two sons and am using RC and Woodworking as ways to spend time together – learning and teaching each other as we go.

If you live in the Twin Cities area and have an interest in connecting to talk woodworking, fishing or flying, look me up, I would love to connect with you.

I look forward to learning from everyone here and hopefully being able to help others as my skills and knowledge increase.

Regards,

BassHunter

Welcome to LJ and thanks for the introduction. Make yourself at home. Congrats on including your boys in ww’ing. I never could get mine interested. Careful of the helo’s, they can be a money pit.

Welcome to LJ’s

This is the greatest site. My best friends are here and most I have never met face to face. That’s the kind of people here. I am from South Dakota. Not many of us in my State.

I don’t catch fish..I just feed them bait. I am pretty new to Lumberjocks as well and have found a lot of kindred spirits here. There are an awful lot of really nice people to share your passion for woodworking with or just chat to. Welcome…to a great community.

I’m brand new too. This is the first site in a lot of years that I’ve felt comfortable. We don’t seem to have a single thing in common except woodworking. That’s just fine. And look at the cool places everybody’s from!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. Have been tied up all weekend with a wedding and science fair projects in progress. Looking forward to spending more time here…

My youngest son and I managed to cut out our first Band Saw Box. Simple one drawer box, but it was fun. Now it is on to gluing it up and then figuring out how to sand it…

Thanks again!!!
