Ditto on the pictures. It is always fun to take a tour of other shops.
BareFeet, let me also welcome you to LJs. It is good to have you on board as a member of the group.

Thanks for all of the quick responses guys! Really makes me feel welcome!!
As of now- my shop is just my one-car-garage with whatever I have room for after fitting my family truckster (mini-van) and all of the kids bikes, toys, balls, etc. My bench is really just the old counter top out of my kitchen.
I have an old butcher block table top that I plan on using to build an old Roubo-style workbench in the basement. I just need to ‘organize’ my storage room down there. Some day this will all happen….until then, my woodworking projects include the swingset put back for my kids and whatever projects fall onto my wife’s want list. I will definitely keep you posted!!

BareFeet, it sounds like you have plenty on your plate. The bench will be a fun project that will give you “an excuse” to spend time in the shop. After all it will be tool necessary for nearly all the projects that your wife will add to your list. If she is anything like mine her list will grow a lot faster than your ability to knock projects off. I have often said that my wife thinks it is her mission in life to find things to keep me busy.
I am looking forward to seeing the updates as you are able to post them.
