This was from a fallen tree (Osage Orange, or sometimes known as Bowdart) behind my father-in-law&#8217;s shop.  This wood is tough, and it dulled my tools quite a bit!</p>]]>

This wood was a bit green, and that&#8217;s why I think the cracks developed towards the end of the project.  If anyone has any advice on that I would love to hear it.  I bought the wood (Myrtle) at Rockler, and it was sealed in wax.  I wasn&#8217;t expecting it to be so green/wet as I turned it, but it was.</p>]]>
