born and raised in southern Maine... early '88.

picked up a lot, building things in both grandfathers personal shops...be it, the basement at peperes, or the garage at pappys..

my pops taught me the most, i spent more time with him in sawdust than i did playing outside. he's a carpenter/remodeler/cabinetmaker/mechanic/hot rod builder/overall brilliant man with a plethora of knowledge to give.

fast forward to 2004. ive made many projects, mostly small. i picked up playing guitar on my birthday, courtesy of my folks. it was this point i built my first guitar. my eye for design was amateur at best. it came out heavy, functional, and real "cool".

up until i graduate high school, i build two more instruments. a 5 string fretless bass, and a personal copy of a fender thinline telecaster.

i graduated high school in 06, and road tripped out to michigan. to a small school to teach the ways of lutherie. i attended the galloup school for 6 months, completing the "master" course. i drove away, car packed with 4 new guitars, including one electric, a steelstring acoustic, a nylon classical, and a jazz style archtop guitar.

since then, i have been
-building and repairing instruments,
-collecting a mass of tools i "must" have,
-attending the university of Maine for Electrical Engineering Technology
-paddle-maker at Shaw & Tenney, Orono ME, estd 1858
-spending any free time i have in the garage, making/fixing anything i can get my hands on (cars, trucks, cycles, anything made of wood)

i hope to bring sound advice, and learn new things through the use of LJ.
