Been waiting a long time to say this. Ahem... "TOOL GLOAT!"

Snagged this bad boy yesterday on Craigslist for $75.00! The belts are in great shape, too. There’s some rust on the table surface but the chuck is actually pretty clean. Nothing that can’t be helped by some elbow grease. I’m glad I found such a good deal on this, since it’s the ideal size for my small garage workshop. It’s small enough that it won’t take up a lot of real estate, but it’s also about as big and powerful as you can get without springing for a floor model. So keep watching those CL posts, there’s gold to be found there if you sift long enough.

Oh, I definitely will put this thing to a LOT of use. I’m just looking for excuses to put holes in anything at this point.

Awesome Brian. One thing about that metal table top… It wont be long before you put a wood platform on it. the metal table has too many limitations. In other words, try not to spend too much of your time cleaning up the surface.

nice find. I don’t have much luck with craigslist. I live to far away from civilization. It has its disadvantages I guess.

Yeah, I plan on making a wood table for it so I won’t get too involved cleaning the rust. Probably just a little wire brushing to get the excess off.

Very good Brian. Now you can buy a Forstner set like this one:

real estate is king. a bench model is just a floor model with a shorter column. the head should mostly be the same. great gloat by the way.
