Here are some pics of our recent Kitchen remodel in progress. This is the condition of most of our cabinets— they’re toast. Here is a real life saver my wife got me this for Christmas. Look at the poor job the original electri...

I really enjoy home projects, especially woodworking projects. I guess my interest in woodworking began by taking woodshop classes in Jr High, and by watching and working with my Dad.
My stationary power tools currently include a Craftsman table saw, bench grinder, and my Dad's old radial arm saw. And of course, many portable power hand tools.
I am currently in the process of building my new workshop. Due to various limitations, it is only about 10' x12', but I have the added convenience of using my big 2-car garage when added space is needed.
I began my workshop thinking it would just be a place to keep the mower -- nothing fancy. But somehow it evolved to become an insulated (paratially), well built, weathertight, little building (kind of a Tim Allen thing). To keep within code requirements for exterior height, I built it with a lower ceiling. It is vaulted however, so it doesnt seem lowered. The problem with that was when I added the door, I had to either order a custom made door, or ..... I was fortunate to find one at an building recycling center that accepts house parts and resells them to the public.
Life is fun!

I found another Pawn Shop bargain. I came across a DeWalt belt sander tagged for $39. I took y’alls advice and asked for a better price. She sold it to me for $32. And once again, the tool appears to have very minimal use—almost ne...
Last Monday, while searching for a biscuit jointer I decided to visit a local pawn shop. There it was, a Dewalt DW682K. It had been used once, maybe twice. It had a $75 price sticker on it. After seeing them selling for around $200, I decided to b...
